I was shopping for some Christmas gifts and couldn't help but stop in the Hilfiger outlet.  They are having huge sales and people are walking around the store handing out 15% and 20% off coupons.  I got a pair of jeans for my daughter which were on sale for 60% off, then combined with the 15% off coupon, they cost me $10.71.... I bought the exact same jeans at an outlet in the US for $15 USD and thought I was getting a great deal at the time.  When do you get $10 Hilfiger jeans???   Hurry in, I'm not sure how long they'll be handing out the coupons!  Here is a list of participating Hilfiger stores in Alberta:

Scrubbing Bubbles and Febreze- $50 of product for $3.50

I needed a couponing fix so I headed over to London Drugs to see what I could find.... I rarely use the Febreze, Glade and Airwick Coupons because they are low value and the products are still going to cost a few bucks (and I don't think my house is really stinky enough to need a ton of 'beautiful smell' products!).  I have always loved the Febreze Home Collection Lamps, y'know, the ones that look like they have little square lampshades on them, but I have never bought any as they can be upwards of $15 for the base and the shade together!! Well, to my surprise, they were on sale for $4.99 each piece.  With the Save $4 coupon from the last Brandsaver, I got the pieces for $.99 each, yipee!!  PS- The sets (base and shade together) are o sale for $12.99, I think I beat that price, lol.

I also grabbed a couple of Scrubbing Bubbles Power Sprayers while  was at it.  By combining coupons from the last few Red Plums I had $11 worth of coupons and the sprayers are $9.99 each.

Remember- ask others to collect the coupon flyers for you.  It's easy and multiple coupons help you stock up on good deals when you find them.

Extreme Christmas Shopping

Fabulous deals at Home Outfitters yesterday!  I Price Matched to 2 other store flyers, used my 10% off coupon for e-mail sign-up, then 8 of the $20 off when you spend $50 coupons I aquired with my NEARLY FREE purchases from last week...grand total?  In-store Price $784.35 with tax...total paid WITH TAX...$279!!!  That means I paid 35% of the retail value FOR CHRISTMAS GIFTS!!!  If we can do it there, WHO SAYS we can't Exteme Coupon in Canada?!

Gluten-Free Bread

One of us has recently had to start eating Gluten and Dairy Free.  We have discovered that it is VERY difficult to find coupons for these types of products, not impossible, but difficult.  So we will do everything we can to share when we find them.  This coupon is good for $1.00 off of Glutino Gluten-Free Bread and expires Jan 26 2012.  I have printed 2 coupons without any problem, so there isn't a limit to one after installing the software.

Stock Up on Bread Products, .96c/Loaf- Friday Nov. 25

Whether it's for breakfast, sandwiches or making holiday stuffing, odds are you'll need bread within the next week or so.  So, why not get it for .96c per loaf?

On the last Friday of the month, McGavins has 20% off all products in their stores.  They have sections with 'short expiry' bread products, including bread, bagels, english muffins and pitas (usually expiring within a few days).  These products are sold at 10 for $12.  Including the 20% off sale, this makes each item 96 cents!!  We stock up and freeze our bread products and we have never had a problem with bread that's gone bad too quickly.

Black Friday/Cyber Monday...What?!

Have you heard about some of the CRAZY deals happening on Black Friday?  Maybe you were thinking you could get free shipping on a Cyber Monday deal or 2?  Maybe you have NO Idea what all that means?  Well here's the 411 on the biggest American shopping days of the year... and how you can take advantage of them as a Canadian.

Black Friday is the day after the American Thanksgiving.  Historically the busiest shopping day of the year in the US, second only (sometimes) to Christmas Eve.  It would be similar to our Boxing Day...only for those of us lucky enough to have experienced it, we know it is way, WAY bigger.  Stores will open their doors anytime between 11:00pm right through until Midnight the next day.  The deals that can be had really are incredible.

Cyber Monday has evolved in recent years to become one of the biggest on-line shopping days of the year.  It falls on the first Monday following American Thanksgiving and Black Friday.  This is where we, as Canadians have a real opportunity to cash in on some of the promotions out there.  Many of the companies offer free shipping to Canada, and really, some of the deals are so good, that even AFTER paying for the shipping, the prices are still amazing.

We found tear pad coupons for $4 off Advil Cold and Sinus. This Advil is currently $3.96 at Walmart making it FREE! These tear pads can be hard to find, we spotted a full stack at the Shopper's in Edmonton on 101ave and 75st this morning (remember to please take only what you need and leave the rest for others... taking a whole tearpad is a couponing sin!). A Few Great Finds Today

We went out to SaveOn Foods and to Superstore and paid a fraction of the regular price for a great haul of items.  One of our kids loves flying just to get the bits n bites on the plane... this will save us a ton of money!  We would have had two more deodorants on our list too, but we stopped to help out a friend who was couponing on our way out of Superstore (spread the wealth!!).  Here's a list of what we got:

We have heard a lot of people say "I just wouldn't have time to extreme coupon".  There is a BIG difference between couponing and extreme couponing.  You would be amazed at how easy it is to collect a few coupons here and there to save a ton on everyday household items.  If you learn some of the basics about coupons, an hour spread throughout a week could give you a small stash of coupons and help you open up money to spend somewhere else (a nice gettaway to somewhere warm perhaps?).

Watch for coupons that come with the purchase of a product.  You can buy the fajita or taco kits from Old El Paso for $3.50 and get a coupon for $4.00 off your next chicken purchase (or beef, watch for different coupons on the packages) with the purchase of another kit! That makes for a very inexpensive and fun dinner for the family.
